Terms of use

Use Router Portal responsibly

Router Portal provides general information. You are responsible for confirming that an instruction fits your own router, network, and permission level.

Acceptance of Terms of Use

Welcome to Router Portal (https://routerportals.xyz/). By accessing, browsing, reading, or utilizing any of the guides, IP profile sheets, network calculators, diagnostic command worksheets, or technical documentation hosted on this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our associated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the website immediately.

Authorized Network Management & Lawful Use Only

All networking manuals, IP gateway directories, and troubleshooting procedures published on Router Portal are provided exclusively for authorized educational, administrative, and diagnostic use on local area networks and hardware equipment that you legally own, lease, or have obtained explicit written authorization to administer:

  • Prohibition of Unauthorized Intrusion: You agree never to use Router Portal’s guides, default credential directories, or port worksheets to gain unauthorized access to any third-party network, router, wireless access point, or telecommunications infrastructure without the express consent of the network owner.
  • Compliance with Computer Crime Statutes: Any attempt to compromise, bypass access controls, or disrupt the operation of networks without authorization is a violation of these terms and may violate international computer security laws, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) and regional cybercrime regulations.

Comprehensive Technical Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Important Hardware & Connectivity Safety Notice: Computer networking involves interacting directly with embedded hardware firmware, flash memory, and local routing tables. Improper configuration can result in network disruption, loss of internet connectivity, or hardware bricking.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Router Portal, its founder Md Juyel, its editors, and its technical contributors expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement:

  1. No Guarantee of Compatibility: Router configurations, default IP addresses, administrative credentials, and interface hierarchies vary significantly by manufacturer, hardware revision, regional variant, and ISP-modified firmware. A procedure verified on one device may not apply to another unit of the same model family.
  2. Risk of Configuration Loss: Performing a factory reset, clearing NVRAM, or uploading recovery firmware (TFTP/rescue mode) will permanently delete custom Wi-Fi security keys, ISP WAN credentials (PPPoE/static IP), port-forwarding rules, and VLAN configurations. Router Portal shall not be held liable for any loss of data, downtime, service interruption, or technician fees incurred.
  3. Limitation of Direct and Consequential Damages: In no event shall Router Portal or its management be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the information provided on this platform.

Hardware Revision Verification & User Responsibility

Prior to applying any firmware recovery, subnet restructuring, or administrative modification detailed on Router Portal, you bear sole responsibility for verifying:

  • The exact physical model number and hardware revision (e.g., V1, V2, V3) stamped on your router's bottom label.
  • The specific firmware version currently active in your device’s administrative dashboard.
  • The availability of your original ISP installation documentation, including PPPoE usernames, passwords, or VLAN IDs required to restore internet service following a configuration wipeout.

External Destination Sockets & Localhost Links

Router Portal provides convenience buttons that launch local browser socket connections to private IPv4 addresses (such as http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1). These addresses point exclusively to devices residing on your own local physical network. Router Portal does not operate, host, verify, or control the web servers running on your private networking hardware, and bears no responsibility for the software or certificates deployed thereon.

Intellectual Property, Trademarks & Fair Use

All original editorial text, architectural diagrams, custom diagnostic calculators, code generators, and compilation layout on Router Portal are the protected intellectual property of Router Portal and Founder Md Juyel. All third-party trademarks, service marks, brand names, and model designations referenced throughout the site (including TP-Link, Netgear, ASUS, Linksys, D-Link, Cisco, Huawei, Google, Amazon, Eero, and others) remain the sole property of their respective owners. They are referenced on Router Portal strictly for nominative identification, educational instruction, and compatibility guidance under Fair Use principles.

Governing Law & Severability

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these terms is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
